Manipur: Earthquake of 3.1 magnitude hits Churachandpur

Churachandpur: An earthquake of 3.1 on the Richter scale struck the Churachandpur district in Manipur on Thursday, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.

It occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers below the Earth's surface at 12:35 PM, according to NCS.

“EQ of M: 3.1, On: 02/01/2025 12:35:14 IST, Lat: 24.53 N, Long: 93.72 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Churachandpur, Manipur,” NCS said in a post on X. 

Fortunately, no loss of lives or damage to property have been reported yet.
