Jalgaon: Several are feared killed after being hit by a train in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

Passengers had got down onto the railway track after chain pulling following which they were hit by another train. 

So far, at least 8 people have been killed and several injured.

Pushpak Express

According to the information, following the rumour that fire broke out in Pushpak Express, people pulled the chain and got down on the tracks. Amok Karnataka Express came on the other track and mowed down several passengers.

The visuals emerged form the spot suggested that the death toll may rise. 

"Some passengers of the Pushpak Express stepped down, and were hit by the oncoming Karnataka Express," said Central Railway's Chief spokesperson Swapnil Nila."
