Maharashtra: Political row erupts after Shinde faction MLAs security downgraded

The Maharashtra government’s decision to downgrade Y-category security for several leaders has caused discontent within the ruling alliance. Read further on Dynamite News:

Mumbai: Tension are running high in Maharashtra after the security of 20 Shiv Sena (Shinde Group) MLAs was reduced. These MLAs had Y-grade security.

According to Dynamite News Correspondent, the government’s move to downgrade Y-category security for several leaders has caused discontent within the ruling alliance.

Security of NCP (AP) & BJP MLAs also reduced  
However, some NDA leaders have downplayed it, saying the security of others leaders have also been reduced a threat assessment review.

VIP Security Reduced
Recently, the state government carried out a comprehensive review of VIP security. Subsequently, the security of many leaders, including Shiv Sena MLAs, were downgraded. According to reports, BJP leaders Ravindra Chavan and Pratap Chikhalikar are among those whose security cover was reduced. 

Besides, Pravin Darekar (BJP), ex-minister Suresh Khade (BJP), Gadchiroli MLA Deorao Holi (BJP), Nanded MLA Pratap Patil Chikhalikar (NCP), independent MLA Ravi Rana's security have also been downgraded. Similarly, cover given to ex-ministers Dilip Walse Patil (NCP), and Deepak Kesarkar and Ramdas Kadam, both aides of Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, had also been withdrawn.
