Maharashtra registers 58.22% voter turnout till 5 pm

According to the Election Commission of India data, the highest voter turnout was registered in Gadchiroli district with 69.63%, while Mumbai city saw the lowest with 49.07% turnout. Read further on Dynamite News:

Mumbai: Maharashtra recorded 58.22% voter turnout till 5 pm on Wednesday in the one phase assembly elections, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI). 

Gadchiroli registers highest turnout

According to the ECI data, the highest voter turnout was registered in Gadchiroli district with 69.63%, while Mumbai city saw the lowest with 49.07% turnout, which is just 1 per cent higher than 48.4 per cent turnout in 2019.

Mumbai Suburban saw a voter turnout of 51.76% while Nagpur 56.06 %, Aurangabad 60.83 %, Pune 54.09% Nashik 59.85 %, Satara 64.16%, Dhule 59.75 %, Palghar 59.31 % Ratnagiri 60.35%, Nanded 55.88% and Latur 61.43%.

Results to be announced on Nov 23
Voting to the 288-member state assembly was began at 7 am on Wednesday.  The outcome of the polls will be announced on November 23. 

Though voting concluded at 6 pm long queues were seen outside the polling booths. The final voter turnout is yet to be released. (With Agency Inputs)
