The BJP sources said that the new Chief Minister will be sworn in on December 5.
Shiv Sena seeks Home Department
Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, a part of the Mahayuti alliance, has demanded the Home Department in the new government of Maharashtra.

Notably, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde last Wednesday said that the BJP high command would take the final decision on the CM's post and that he would accept any candidate from Mahayuti as CM.
Shinde resigned as Chief Minister on Tuesday following Mahayuti's landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections in which the alliance won 230 out of 288 seats. Currently, Shinde is a caretaker CM.
