Maharashtra: 20 Loaded Coal Wagons Derailed In Amravati, Many Trains Cancelled And Diverted

The derailment took place at 11.20 pm on Sunday between Malkhed and Timatla stations on Wardha-Badnera section of the Nagpur division, a Railway release said. Read on for details:

Amravati/Nagpur: Twenty coal wagons of a goods train derailed in Amravati district.

According to a railway official, the derailment took place on Sunday at around at 11.30 pm between Malkhed and Timatla stations on Wardha-Badnera section of the Nagpur division.

Though no casualty has been reported in the incident, many passenger trains were cancelled and diverted at Nagpur and other stations, the railway official said. (with Agency inputs)
