Lucknow: Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav addressed a Press Conference at the SP HQ here in Lucknow on Sunday. On this occasion, the SP chief was accompanied by German MP and Indian-origin Rahul Kumar Kamboj, who addressed the press conference on the benefits of conducting elections through ballot papers.

On this occasion, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also took a sharp dig at the invitation being given by the UP government for the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. He said that Kumbh is a matter of faith and no invitation is needed for it. Devotees and people themselves reach there for Kumbh. But this (BJP) government is of a different kind, which takes political advantage in everything.

Akhilesh Yadav said that Kumbh was held in UP even during the Samajwadi Party government. We had made a lot of preparations for it and the way Kumbh was organized at that time was appreciated by the world. He said that a book was also published on the success of Kumbh, which needs to be read and understood even today.

After the address by Indian-origin German MP Rahul Kumar Kamboj on the benefits of conducting elections through ballot papers, Akhilesh Yadav said that today even a country like Germany is conducting elections through ballot paper. But in India, some people conduct elections through EVMs for their own benefit.

Akhilesh Yadav said that elections should be such that they can be trusted. No one trusts EVMs. This is the reason why the faces of the winners of elections look downcast after victory, because they too do not have confidence from within.

This is a big question that why do the faces of the winners of elections remain downcast?
