DN Bureau

The full truth behind the Maha Kumbh stampede on Mauni Amavasya remains unclear, two days after the tragedy occurred. This question is now gaining traction. What is the actual reality? Read the full report by Dynamite News.

New Delhi: The administration provided information about the death of 30 people and 60 injured in the stampede 17 hours after the tragedy hit the Mela, which is considered the world's largest spiritual gathering.

It has now been nearly three days since the incident, yet many crucial questions remain unanswered, leaving people in doubt.

The biggest question is whether the full truth about the stampede has been revealed. How many people actually died? How many were injured? How many are still missing? Did the stampede occur only once during Maha Kumbh? Several such questions are being raised regarding the incident.

Media reports on Stampede
If various media reports are to be believed, the actual death toll in the stampede might be higher than the official figures. Similarly, the number of injured people could also be more than reported. What is the actual reality? No one seems to have a clear answer.

Dainik Bhaskar
Dainik Bhaskar, a national daily newspaper, in its January 31 edition, raised serious questions about the administration’s claims regarding the Maha kumbh stampede.

According to Bhaskar’s report, 1,500 people have been missing since the stampede. The newspaper also reported that the stampede did not occur just once but twice. As per the report, another stampede took place 2.5 kilometers from Sangam on the same night. The newspaper also published an eyewitness account of this second incident.

The report further states that even two days after the tragedy, the administration neither acknowledged the incident nor accepted the deaths. Besides Bhaskar, other media reports have also questioned the administration’s claims.

Administration remains silent on media reports
In such a situation, the biggest question is why the administration is not addressing these media reports and clarifying the situation. This raises a valid concern: Is the administration trying to conceal the actual number of casualties and the true reality of the disaster?

Dynamite News also appeals to the administration to come forward on this sensitive issue and provide clarity on all doubts, concerns, and media reports.
