Firozabad: A man was burnt alive after a sleeper coach bus traveling from Prayagraj to Rajasthan's Nagaur caught fire in Firozabad on Saturday morning, police said. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the accident occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the Matsena police station area around 5 AM today.

The driver quickly pulled the bus to the side, allowing passengers to safely evacuate. However, one sleeping passenger was unable to escape and tragically died in the fire. Three fire engines were deployed to bring the blaze under control.

Flames begins from Front Portion of Bus
Total 52 people were returning to Nagaur after taking holy dip at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. When the bus reached the Matsena area, smoke and flames began emerging from its front section. Thanks to the driver's alertness, all passengers managed to get off in time, except for one person who was in deep sleep and was caught in the flames, leading to his death.

Identification of Deceased
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Pawan Sharma, a resident of Nagaur.
