New Delhi: Even two days after the tragedy struck the Maha Kumbh on Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj, reports of missing persons continue to emerge. Many pilgrims and common citizens remain distressed as their family members, who had gone for the holy dip, have not yet returned home.
This has led to growing concerns and questions directed at the Yogi government, with people wondering why the administration has not yet provided clarity on the situation.
Family going pillar to post in search of loved ones
Reports indicate that many individuals from Uttar Pradesh and several other states are still missing. Families are tirelessly searching for their loved ones in Prayagraj, hoping for any clue. Meanwhile, many from the Gorakhpur and Basti divisions remain unaccounted for since the stampede.
Hindustan Newspaper
According to a January 31 report from the Hindustan newspaper, 35 people from Gorakhpur and Basti divisions have been reported missing since the Maha kumbh stampede. However, the report lists only 34 names.
Hindustan has also published a list of missing persons.
