Jaipur: Senior BJP leader Madan Rathore was on Saturday re-elected unopposed as the party’s Rajasthan President.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and party’s top brass in the state were with Rathore when he filed his nomination papers before election officer and former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani.
CM Sharma and former CM Vasundhara Raje were among five proposers for Rathore.

Attributing his values to BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), he told reporters just outside the party office, "Our organisation is united and will stay united...I got my values from RSS and BJP."
Who is Madan Rathore?
The 70-year-old is a native of Pali district and he represented Sumerpur Assembly twice. He started out as a Pracharak with the RSS in Pali in the 1970s, before moving on to the BJP in the mid-1980s.
Before enetering the party's state unit, he held various posts in his home district.

Deputy Chief Whip
He was the party's deputy chief whip in the Assembly between 2014 and 2018.
