LS polls: Voting for second phase ends, 66 % voter turnout to be expected

Second phase polling for 95 Lok Sabha constituencies, spread across 11 states and one Union Territory ended on Thursday, 66 % voter turnout to be expected.

New Delhi: Second  phase polling for 95 Lok Sabha constituencies, spread across 11 states and one Union Territories ended on Thursday, 61.12 % voter turnout to be expected.

Voter turnout: Assam (5)- 76.22% , Bihar (5)- 62.38%, Chhattisgarh (3)-71.40%, Jammu and Kashmir (2)- 45.5%, Karnataka (14)-67.67%, Maharashtra (10)- 61.22%, Manipur (1)- 74.69%, Odisha (5)- 64%, Tamil Nadu (38)-72, Uttar Pradesh (8)- 62.3%, West Bengal (3)- 76.42%, and a single parliamentary seat of Puducherry 78%.

Over 15.80 crore voters will decide the fate of the 1,600-odd contestants who are in the fray.
