LS polls: 51.95% per cent turnout till 3 pm in last phase

The voter turnout till 3 pm in the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections was recorded as 51.95% per cent, the Election Commission of India (ECI) said on Sunday.

New Delhi: The voter turnout till 3 pm in the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections was recorded as 51.95% per cent, the Election Commission of India (ECI) said on Sunday. 

Fifty-nine parliamentary constituencies across seven states and one union territory are voting today.

The voter turnout recorded till 1 pm is - Bihar-36.20%, Himachal Pradesh- 34.47%, Madhya Pradesh-43.89%, Punjab-36.66%, Uttar Pradesh-36.37%, West Bengal- 47.55, Jharkhand-52.89%, Chandigarh-35.60%

The seven-phase Lok Sabha election started on April 11. The first phase witnessed a voter turnout of 69.45 per cent.

The result for the Lok Sabha election will be announced on May 23. (ANI)
