Lok Sabha Session Day-1: PM Modi, Ministers take oath as MPs; Other Members follow

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in as a Member of Parliament for the third time as the inaugural session of the 18th Lok Sabha kicked off on Monday June 24. 

After PM Modi, his Council of Ministers also took oath as MPs during the first sitting of newly elected Lok Sabha followed by other Members of Parliament.

In this first sitting of the House, 280 new MPs will be taking oath.

Earlier, in an address ahead of the first sitting of the Parliament, PM Modi said the "people want substance not slogan" from the Opposition in the 18th Lok Sabha.
