MP from Bikaner, Rajasthan
1. Arjun Ram Meghwal is a resident of Rajasthan. He is a Member of Parliament from Bikaner Lok Sabha constituency. He has been elected MP from Bikaner for the third consecutive time.
2. He is currently the Union Minister of State for Culture and Parliamentary Affairs. Prior to this, he has also worked as Union Minister of State for Finance, Water Resources, and Ganga Development Minister.

3. Meghwal was born on 7 December 1954 to Lakhu Ram Meghwal and Heera Devi in Kishmidesar, a small village in Bikaner.
4. He holds a Master's Degree in Political Science. Besides, he has also done MA in Political Science, LLB and MBA from Dungar College in Bikaner and University of the Philippines.

5. In 1982, Meghwal cleared the RAS exam and got selected for Rajasthan Udyog Sewa.
6. He was promoted as a 1999 batch IAS officer in the Rajasthan cadre.
7. As an IAS officer, he served as Deputy Secretary, Technical Education; Special Secretary, Higher Education; Managing Director, Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation Limited; Additional Commissioner (Commercial Tax Department); besides many important posts including District Collector and District Magistrate, Churu.

Voluntary retirement to join politics
8. He took voluntary retirement from the Indian Administrative Service to join politics.
9. He is considered a big face of Scheduled Castes in Rajasthan.

10. His political career started in the year 2009, when he won the first election from Bikaner Lok Sabha seat on BJP ticket. After this, in the years 2014 and 2029 also, he was elected MP for the second and third time for the Lok Sabha.
