Bengaluru: Indian batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the upcoming tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to a shoulder injury.
The 24-year-old sustained the left shoulder injury during the first Test against Australia in Pune, but continued to play through pain for the rest of the four-match series.

According to the reports, Rahul will soon be heading to London to undergo surgery.

Rahul is Royal Challengers' second major injury setback after captain Virat Kohli was also believed to have been ruled out of the IPL 2017 for atleast a `few weeks` due to a shoulder injury.
