Khatu Shyam Mela to begin on Feb 28; special arrangements for smooth darshan

A 12-day-long 'Lakkhi Mela' in Khatu Shyam is set to begin on February 28 and preparations for the fair have been completed. Read further on Dynamite News:

Sikar: Khatu Shyam Ji is believed to be the Kaliyugi incarnation of Lord Shri Krishna and his glory is considered boundless. 


His main temple is situated in Khatu village in Rajasthan's Sikar District and is known as the Khatu Shyam Temple. 

It is believed that any devotee who sincerely chants 'Jai Shri Shyam' has all their wishes fulfilled.

As per reports, the 12-day-long 'Lakkhi Mela' in Khatu Shyam is set to begin on February 28 and preparations for the fair have been finalized.

The Khatu Shyam fair, held in the month of Phalgun, is very famous and attracts millons of devotees. The Nishan Yatra is also an important tradition, where devotees undertake a waliking journey to the temple and offer flags (Nishan). 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, a 17-kilometer carpet has been rolled over there for the devotees. 

Every effort has been made to ensure the devotees face no inconvenience. A temporary road has been prepared along the higway from Jaipur to Ringas to prevent accidents and special arrangements have been made for the elderly and diffrently-abled. 

As huge crowd is expected, an 8 km zigzag path has been made to reach the temple from Khatu Shyam Mela Ground. Devotees will have to proceed through the zigzag path for darshan. The zigzag path has been covered with a tin shed.

Emergency hospital 
An emergency hospital has been built near Lakhdatar ground. If someone falls ill, he can be easily taken to the hospital.

During the fair, semi-deluxe buses will run from Khatu Shyam to Delhi.
