Idukki: A tragic road accident took place on Monday morning in Pullupara area of Idukki district of Kerala.
A bus going from Thanjavur to Mavelikara fell into a ditch, killing 4 people including a woman. Many other passengers have been seriously injured in the accident.
Bus fell into ditch
The accident occurred around 6:15 am, when the bus lost control at a turn and fell into a ditch about 30 feet deep, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Rescue operation underway
As soon as the incident was reported, police and fire department teams reached the spot. Relief and rescue operations are going on at quick pace. Injured are admitted to nearby hospitals.

The bodies of the deceased in the accident are sent to a private hospital in Mundakayam. The bodies will be handed over to the relatives after postmortem.
There were a total of 34 people on the bus. According to the police, the bus lost balance at a sharp turn near Pullupara, due to which this accident happened. Since the accident, the local administration and rescue team are engaged in relief work at the spot.
