New Delhi: Ex-Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday meet the Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and lodged a complaint, alleging that the BJP has manipulated the electoral list in New Delhi assembly constituency.

Kejriwal talks to reporters
After meeting with CEC, he told reporters: "More than 5500 applications have been received to cancel votes in the New Delhi Assembly from 15 December 2024 to 07 January 2025."

"BJP also applied to add 13,000 new voters in the electoral list," Ex-CM added.

'Cancel Pravesh Verma's candidature' 
Kejriwal also accused BJP's New Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma of violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC). 


"Pravesh Verma is distributing money to voters in New Delhi Assembly and has also announced to organize a job fair. All this is against the rules of the Election Commission, so Pravesh Verma should not be allowed to contest the elections.    


"Pravesh Verma's house should be raided to find out how much money he has at home," Kejriwal demanded. Kejriwal also demanded immediate suspension and transfer of the District Election Officer.

'Get Assurance From CEC'
Kejriwal said that CEC has given him assurance to look into his allegations. 

He was accompanied by Delhi CM Atishi, party RS MP Sanjay Singh and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.
