Soon after his arrival Akhilesh Yadav began the campaign by addressing a public meeting in Akbarpur in support of party candidate RD Patil. A huge crowd surged in the rally to hear Akhilesh. Bengaluru/Gulbarga: The political temperature in poll-bound Karnataka is rising with every passing day. And now with the entry of Samajwadi Party Chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav in the state election foray, the murcury has further increased.

Huge crowd gathers to hear Akhilesh Yadav

Akhilesh Yadav arrived at Gulbarga from Lucknow on Friday on a 3-day tour of Karnataka to a rousing welcome by party functionaries and supporters at the airport. 

Soon after his arrival SP Chief began the campaign by addressing a public meeting in Akbarpur in support of party candidate RD Patil. 

A huge crowd, dominated by youths and women, surged in the rally to hear Akhilesh in this southern state, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Samajwadi Party has fielded its candidates in 17 assembly segments.

SP Supremo, earlier too, has been coming to Karnataka quite often to create support for the party. As a result, Samajwadi Party candidates are giving a good fight.

Large number of women join the rally

SP made an entry in Gujarat Assembly 

Last year, under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav, SP had won one seat in Gujarat Assembly election which boosted the morale of the Party. It is believed that in Karnataka too, Samajwadi Party can make a debut in the state Assembly.
