Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently in jail for his alleged involvement in the Renukaswamy murder case.

The court had sought actor's medical reports, following which the State presented medical reports in a sealed cover from medics at Ballari Central Prison, where the actor is lodged, and the head of the department of neurology at a government hospital in Ballari.
Actor’s legal representative CV Nagesh claimed that Darshan is experiencing numbness in both feet and sought permission for his surgery.

Darshan, who was arrested on June 11 in connection with the murder case, submitted the bail application on September 21, but it was rejected by a sessions court. Later, he moved the High Court and requested interim bail for treatment.
