Justice Rajiv Shakdhar to be new Chief Justice of Himachal
Justice Shakdhar will replace Justice MS Ramachandra Rao, who is now appointed as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court. Read further on Dynamite News:
Shimla: Justice Rajiv Shakdhar has been recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium to become the new Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court. At present Justice Shakdhar is a senior judge from Delhi High Court.
He will replace Justice MS Ramachandra Rao, who is now appointed as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

Justice Shakdhar was appointed as a judge of Delhi High Court on April 11, 2008, and became a permanent judge on October 17, 2011. He served at Madras High Court from April 11, 2016, before being transferred back to Delhi High Court on January 15, 2018.
He also holds a Chartered Accountancy qualification, having been certified in 1987 and became an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 1988. In 1994, he completed an advanced law course from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London.

Throughout his career, Justice Shakdhar has practised in the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, and other High Courts, specializing in indirect taxes, foreign exchange, and service laws. (with Agency inputs)
