Judicial Officer Aribam Guneshwar Sharma Elevated As Judge Of Manipur High Court

New Delhi: The Ministry of Law and Justice on Friday notified the elevation of a Judicial Officer Aribam Guneshwar Sharma as Judge of the Manipur High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting on 10 January approved the proposal for the elevation of Aribam Guneshwar Sharma as judge of the High Court of Manipur.

Before being elevated as the judge of Manipur High Court, Aribam Guneshwar Sharma was the District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West having jurisdiction over revenue districts of Imphal West, Tamenglong, Noney, Chandel & Tengnoupal and was also the Senior most District Judge in Manipur.

Law Minister Kiren Rijiju also tweeted in this regard stated, "as per the provisions under the Constitution of India, Judicial Officer Aribam Guneshwar Sharma has been appointed as Judge of Manipur High Court." (with Agency inputs)
