Baramulla: Two terrorists were killed in encounter with security forces in the Sopore area of Baramulla district on Friday, police said. 

Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists.

Police statement 

"Two terrorists have been neutralised in Sopore encounter. Identification & affiliation is being ascertained. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition recovered. Further details shall follow," Kashmir Zone Police said in a post on X.

Encounter breaks out on Thursday

Acting on a specific input regarding the presence of terrorists in Panipora Sopore area of Baramulla, a joint anti-terrorist operation was launched by Police and security forces on Thursday. During the search operation, an exchange of fire ensued, according to the police.
