J&K: Two drug peddlers arrested

Srinagar: Police today arrested two alleged drug peddlers from Handwara area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Two notorious drug peddlers, who were evading arrest, were apprehended by police from Handwara after hectic efforts," a police spokesman said.

The spokesman said siblings Parvaiz Ahmad Malik and Irshad Ahmad Malik were arrested from Dolipora village in Handwara area following a tip off about their presence.

The brothers had gone absconding after a large consignment of charas was recovered from their house few days ago, he said adding a case already stands registered against the duo. (PTI)
