J&K: Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen terrorist killed in Pulwama

The security forces on Thursday neutralised a Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TuM) terrorist in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pulwama: The security forces on Thursday neutralised a Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TuM) terrorist in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

This comes a day after, security forces in a joint operation gunned down two terrorists and their active accomplice in Syed Ali Akbar area of Fateh Kadal.

A police official also got killed in the encounter, which broke out after a search and cordon operation was launched in Fateh Kadal area. Two officers of the paramilitary force also suffered injuries while combating terrorists.

While search operation was going on at the target location, terrorists made indiscriminate firing from inside. In the ensuing gunfight, constable Kamal Kishore of the Jammu and Kashmir Police lost his life.

The eliminated terrorists and the active accomplice have been identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Bangroo, Fahad Mushtaq Waza and Rayees Ahmad. (ANI)
