J&K: Seasons First Snowfall In Parts Of Kashmir; Rains Lash Plains

Srinagar: Various places of Kashmir valley including, Kralpora, Pazipora, Handwara, Tangdhar in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara and Khan Sahib in central Kashmir district of Budgam and Tangmarg received seasons first snowfall. Machhil in Kupwara received yet another spell of feet of snow on Monday, while plains lashes by rains disrupting normal life.

The weather will remain partly cloudy on 15-18 November and with light to moderate rain/snow on 18-19 November, the MeT office said.

Upper reaches of Affarwat in ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir also received fresh moderate snowfall. Reports of snowfall also received from tourist resort of Pahalgam, Chandanwari, Pisso Top and Peer Ki Gali on Mughal Road in south Kashmir and Gurez Valley in north Kashmir's Bandipora district while plains experienced rainfall.
