Baramulla: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday attached the property of Basit Reshi, a terrorist of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, in Sopore area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Basit Reshi is currently in Pakistan and has been declared a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).

Basit, a resident of Yemberzalwari had executed an attack on a police guard post in the Tujar Sharief area on August 18, 2015, in which a cop and a civilian were killed.

Born on March 4, 1996, Basit Ahmad Reshi, was designated as a terrorist by the Centre on October 4, last year, under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. (with ANI inputs)
