J&K: PIL in HC for eviction of ex-Ministers, others from Govt accommodation

Srinagar/Jammu: In the much talked about PIL No.17/2020 seeking eviction of ex-Ministers and others from Government accommodation, the Estates Department order dated 12 December 2024 passed by the Division Bench of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh filed its updated compliance/status report wherein it was mentioned that former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has vacated the Govt accommodation, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Next hearing 19 February
The PIL could not be considered today by the Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice MA Chowdhary because the compliance report filed by the Estates Department had not been scanned by the Registry. Therefore the High Court directed the Registry to list the PIL after winter vacation on 19 February.
