Srinagar: A large number of devotees were seen offering prayers at the ancient Shankaracharya Temple in Srinagar on the occasion of Ram Navami on Sunday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

On the 1000-foot-high Gopadri hills, Shankaracharya Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is also known as Jyoteshwar Temple.

Vaishno Devi Mandir 

On the occasion of the festival of Ram Navami, huge rush of devotees gathered at Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir to offer prayers and seek blessings of the Mata.

Devotees at Vaishno Devi Mandir 

Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra is dedicated to the Goddess Vaishno Devi, a manifestation of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasarasvati, and considered a Shaktipeeth. 

The shrine is located on the Trikuta mountain, and pilgrims trek about 12 km from Katra to reach the holy cave where the deity is revered in the form of three natural rock formations called "Pindies".
