Ranchi: Gangster Aman Sao was killed in an encounter with police when his associates tried to free him from the police custody in Palamu district on Tuesday. 

According to Dynamite News correspondnet, the indent occurred near Andheritola in Ramgarh police station area.

The incident happened when he was being brought from Chhattisgarh's Raipur jail to Ranchi in connection with the murder of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) deputy general manager

According to police, Sao’s gang attacked the vehicle in which the gangster was being brought, triggering the gunfight which led to the death of  Aman Sao. Besides, a policeman also sustained injuries in the encounter.

In Jharkhand, the terror of his gang had increased as compared to other criminal gangs. Three days ago, criminals of this gang had fired on coal transporter Bipin Mishra on Bariatu Road in Ranchi.

Aman Sahu was a resident of Matbe, a small village in Ranchi. More than 100 cases were registered against him in Jharkhand. Aman Sahu had also been a hardcore Maoist.
