Jharkhand CM Soren missing for 48 hours; ED seizes cash from his Delhi residence; Political turmoil intensifies

New Delhi: Political mills are abuzz from Delhi to Ranchi about Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Soren is said to be missing for the last 48 hours. In the meantime, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized Rs36L, an SUV and some "incriminating" documents at his Delhi residence.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, ED has not had any contact with Hemant Soren for the last 48 hours. He is being described as a fugitive.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a reward of Rs11L on ‘missing’ Hemant Soren.
With this, the stir has intensified in Jharkhand. Section 144 has been imposed within 100 meters of CM residence in Ranchi till 10 pm.

In Ranchi, a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) functionary said that all the MLAs of the JMM-led ruling alliance in Jharkhand have been advised not to go out of the state capital. They have been asked to attend the meeting on Tuesday to discuss the current political situation in the state.
An ED team arrived at Soren's 5/1 Shanti Niketan residence in South Delhi on Monday to interrogate him in connection with the investigation of a money laundering case. ED stayed there for more than 13 hours and seized cash and an SUV from there.
