Ranchi: In a big setback to Congress ahead of the first round Jharkhand Assemly polls, senior party leader Aditya Vikram Jaiswal joined the BJP on Monday. 

He joined the BJP in the presence of the party state working president Dr. Ravindra Rai.

He was seeking ticket

According to reports, he was dissapointed after he was denied ticket. 

The former Jharkhand State Professional Congress Committee President reportedly wanted to fight from Ranchi Assembly seat.

Elections dates

The state will go to polls in two phases on November 13 and November 20. The outcome of the elections will be announced on November 23.
