Deoria: Jagriti Udyamita Rail Yatra reached Sadar Railway Station at Deoria on Tuesday to a rousing welcome with garlands and band music. During the welcome ceremony the passengers kept on dancing and singing to the tune of the band music. The whole atmosphere at the Railway Station was filled with joy and enthusiasm.

In Deoria, tourists paid a visit to Barpar and nearby villages throughout the day. They liked the rural environment there and tried to understand the lifestyle of the village very closely. The simple life of the villagers in pollution-free and normal environment filled them with joy.

Understanding village life 
When the women were seen making cow dung cakes in the village, the foreign passengers surrounded them and sat down. When they did not understand the language, they took the help of Indian co-passengers. 

Several passengers were engaged in understanding the Panchayat system. They talked to the village head and other people and learned about its good qualities. Some passengers met the farmers to know about the fertilizers, seeds and pesticides used in the fields. and also methods of farming.

"Biz Gyan Tree" competition
In the evening, a "Biz Gyan Tree" competition was organized in the auditorium of Jagriti Udyam Kendra in Barpar. In the competition many travellers presented models on topics like water sanitation, technology, art, culture and sports, energy etc. The selected models were suitably rewarded by Jagriti.

Origin of the Yatra
The Yatra had started from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai on November 16 with about 500 passengers including foreign ones on board under the leadership of Incubation Associate Director Vishwas Pandey. It will cover a distance of about eight thousand kms with the message of entrepreneurship and inclusive development.

All the tourists on board in Jagriti Train, especially those from abroad, were quite thrilled and expressed their appreciation for India's rich culture and local traditions. They also kept praising the folk life of India.

Rodrigo, a passenger from New York, liked the model of rural development in Orissa very much. Another passenger praised the co-passengers for their courtesy. Several other passengers also shared their memoirs.

Gabriel from Brazil was quite happy after sharing these experiences of journey with fellow passengers. He had also learnt Hindi some Hindi from the co-passengers and surprised everyone standing on the platform by speaking several sentences in Hindi. Similarly. A passenger Gala from Argentina has been staying in India for two years and has become quite fond of humility of Indians.

Press Conference 
In a press conference organized at the network office  in Raghav Nagar of the city, Jagriti's Chief Executive Officer Ashutosh Kumar said that the Yatra has reached Deoria via Hubli, Bengaluru (Indian Institute of Science), Madurai (Arvind Eye Care), Sricity (Shri Harikota Space Center, Sricity), Visakhapatnam (Akshay Patra), Behrampur (Gram Vikas) Nalanda (Nalanda University). The Yatra will rest for the night in Barpar village. 

And from here, the Yatra will reach Delhi, Jaipur and finally Ahmedabad (Gandhi Ashram). This time the Yatra is being conducted with the support of SBI. Its objective is to awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship in the whole country.
