Raipur: Senior IPS officer Arun Dev Gautam has been appointed as DGP of Chhattisgarh, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

 Arun Dev Gautam to replace Ashok Juneja
Arun Dev Gautam will be the 12th DGP of the state. He is set to replace DGP Ashok Juneja whose 6 months extention is ending today.

1992 batch IPS officer 
Arun Dev, a 1992 batch IPS officer, has served as the SP of six districts and IG of two ranges in Chhattisgarh, as well as on many important posts in the police department.

The state government had sent the names of three senior IPS officers, including Arun Dev Gautam, to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the appointment of the new DGP.
