1- Permission to apply saliva on the ball. For the first time after Corona, bowlers will be able to use saliva on the ball. This will help the bowlers to get reverse swing and there will be a balance between the batsman and the bowler in the game.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to lift the ban on saliva after getting consent from most of the IPL captains in this matter.

2- The second big change is the use of a new ball to reduce the effect of dew. If the umpires feel that the effect of dew is more, then in the evening matches, a new ball can be taken from the 11th over of the second innings.

This will reduce the advantage of the team winning the toss and both the teams will get an equal chance.

This rule will not apply to matches to be held in the afternoon. This will help in maintaining high-scoring matches. So that the game remains balanced in both the innings and the chasing team does not get the help of dew.

3- The third important change is, now teams will be able to take Decision Review System (DRS) on height and off side wide balls. This will reduce the chances of wrong decisions.

However, the decision on leg side wide will remain with the on-field umpire. Along with this, the rule of impact player is intact this time too, which caused a lot of controversy last year.

However, BCCI has decided to continue it this time. At the same time, captains will no longer be banned for slow over rate, but demerit points and fines will continue.
