India's industrial output grows 5.2% in November

New Delhi: India's industrial production (IIP) rose to a six-month high of 5.2 per cent in November 2024, up from 3.5 per cent in October, according to the date released by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation on Friday.
Factory output grew at 2.5% in Nov, 2023
Industrial output, measured in terms of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), saw a growth of 2.5 per cent in November last year.

Festive season
Owing to festive season in November, the manufacturing sector’s output grew 5.8 per cent in November last year, up from 1.3 per cent in the year-ago month.
Meanwhile, Mining production also witnessed a 1.9 per cent growth and power output also increased 4.4 per cent the month.
