Rajgir: Indian women's hockey team defeated China 1-0 to retain the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy in Bihar's Rajgir on Wednesday.

Hockey India announces reward
Hockey India declared a reward of Rs 3 Lakh each for all players and Rs 1.5 lakh each for all support staff.
Besides, the Asian Hockey Federation has also announced a reward for podium finishers for the very first time in the competition's history. Now, India will get USD 10,000, while China and Japan will be awarded USD 7,000 and USD 5,000 respectively.

In the second, quarter, China got the first penalty corner of the match but India's second goalkeeper Bichu Devi Kharibam made a briliant save to deny China first goal of the match.

In 42nd minutes, goal scorer had a bright chance to increase India's tally when she earned a penalty stroke for a deliberate push inside the circle. But Chinese goalkeeper Li Ting pulled off a briliant save to deny the host their second goal of the day.
Bihar CM congratulates Indian team
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar congratulated the hockey team for winning the Asian Champions Trophy and also announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to each player of the winning team. Rs 10 Lakhs was also announced by the state govt for the chief coach, and Rs 5 Lakh for the support staff.
