Los Angeles: Indian-American artist Chandrika Tandon has won the Grammy award for her album ‘Triveni’, an album which mixes ancient chants with world music.
Seven-track album
The 71-year-old artist won the hallowed gramophone for the seven-track album in the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album category. The award ceremony was held in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Who is Chandrika Tandon?
Tandon, a renowned global business leader and sister of former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, has received a prestigious award, sharing the honor with her collaborators: South African flautist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto.
"Music is love, music is light, and music is laughter and let's all be surrounded by love, light, and laughter. Thank you for the music, and thank you to everyone who makes music," she said after receiving the prestigious award.
