Colombo: Rohit Sharma-led India side will play their opening match against Sri Lanka in the Tri-Nation Nidahas Twenty20 Cup here in Colombo on Tuesday.
India will go in the series without their star power as regular skipper Virat Kohli, wicket-keeper-batsman MS Dhoni, pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav have all been rested for the series which also involves Bangladesh.
As India have rested their key players willingly, Sri Lanka is a forced one, as star all-rounder and captain Angelo Mathews, Asela Gunaratne and fast bowler Shehan Madushanka are unavailable due to their respective injuries.
