India reports 213 cases of Omicron, 138.96 crore vaccinations administered
India has so far reported 213 cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 from 15 states across the country and out of these 90 people have been discharged from hospitals, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said here on Wednesday.

According to the ministry Delhi has so far reported 57 cases of Omicron, the maximum number by any state or Union Territory. Maharashtra follows a close second with 54 Omicron cases.

In the past 24 hours 57 lakh 5000 and 39 COVID vaccines have been administered across the country. Overall 138 crore 95 lakh 90 thousand and 670 COVID vaccines have been administered till 7 am on Wednesday.
In the last 24 hours, India recorded 6,317 new COVID-19 cases. Currently, 78 thousand 190 people across the country are undergoing treatment for COVID-19. This is 0.22 percent of the total infected cases.

During the same period 6,906 people have recovered from the virus, taking the overall number of recoveries across the country to 42 lakh one thousand and 996, which takes the recovery rate to 98.40 percent.
In the last 24 hours, 12 lakh 29 thousand 512 COVID-19 tests have been conducted across the country. So far a 66 crore 73 lakh 56 thousand 171 COVID tests have been conducted in India. (UNI)
