India releases 39 Pakistani prisoners
The move comes in response to Pakistan's peace overtures, when on Muhammad Ali Jinnah's birthday, Pakistan freed a batch of 220 Indian fishermen.
Amritsar: India released 39 Pakistani prisoners lodged in jails across the country through Wagah-Attari route on Wednesday. The prisoners included 21 civilians and 18 fishermen.
The move comes in response to Pakistan's peace overtures, when on Muhammad Ali Jinnah's birthday, Pakistan freed a batch of 220 Indian fishermen.

Earlier, a batch of 218 fishermen was released on January 5.
Pakistan also handed over an Indian soldier, Chandu Babulal Chohan, to Indian authorities at the Wagah border on January 21. (ANI)
