Dubai: Pakistan defeated India by 43-run in their first match of the ongoing U-19 Asia Cup at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Saturday.

Riding on Shahzeb Khan's scintillating innings of 159 runs, Pakistan scored 281 runs for seven wickets in 50 overs.
Shahzeb hit five fours and 10 sixes in 147 balls.
Shahzeb shared a 160-run partnership with opener Usman Khan, who scored 60 off 94 balls. Following this partnership, Shahzeb shared a crucial 71-run partnership for the third wicket with Muhammad Riazullah (27). However, the Pakistani team lost wickets in quick succession in the last 40 runs.

Indian bowlers
For India, Samarth Nagaraj took 3 wickets for 45 runs, while Ayush Mhatre took 2 wickets for 30 runs.
India gets off to bad start
In response, India got off to a poor start as they lost four wickets for 81 runs in just 15 overs. Ali Raza demolished the top order by taking 3 wickets for 36 runs in nine overs.

Before this match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the age of 13 for Rs 1.10 crore in the 2025 IPL mega auction, was dismissed for one run.
Nikhil Kumar scored the highest 67 runs for India. However, apart from him no batsman could cross the 30 run mark and India was all out for 238 runs in 47.1 overs.
