Lucknow: Huge transfers of senior IAS officers in UP have been done late last night.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, 1995 batch IAS Sanjay Prasad has posted as Principal Secretary Home once again.
Sanjay Prasad was earlier also posted as Principal Secretary Home. During the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission of India had changed the Principal Secretaries of 6 states, one of them was UP.
At that time, Sanjay Prasad was not removed on any complaint. The reason behind his transfer from Home department was that he was holding also the charge of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Sanjay Prasad is counted among the sharp officers of the state. Currently, he holds powerful departments like Principal Secretary, Chief Minister, Home Department and Information and Public Relations Department.
He is counted among the most powerful officers after Shashi Prakash Goyal.
A total of 46 IAS has been transferred.
