Shimla: A woman was reportedly swept away in a sudden flashflood near the Sagnam Nullah in Spiti subdivision while a vehicle was buried under debris in Lahaul and Spiti district on Saturday.

The local authorities immediately swung into action and started rescue efforts.

Over the last two days, seven people have died and 55 people have gone missing in the state due to rain-related incidents, which have claimed approximately 200 lives.

Although the monsoon rains have been subdued, recent cloudbursts have caused significant destruction, resulting in 60 deaths in the last three days and 55 people remaining untraceable under the debris. (with Agency inputs)
