Ranchi: Hemant Soren took oath as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground on Thursday. 

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, Independent MP Pappu Yadav, RJD leader Tejashvi Yadav and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar were amomg those were present on the occassion.

State Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administered Soren the oath of the office and secracy. 

Jharkhand Assembly Polls
In the recently-concluded Assembly polls, JMM won 34 of the 43 seats it contested while its ally Congress secured 16, RJD 4, and CPI(ML) bagged 2.
