Hazlewood out of Brisbane Test due to injury, likely to miss remainder of 5-match series

Brisbane: Josh Hazlewood will miss the rest of the third Test after suffering a right calf strain during the fourt day of the Test being played at Brisbane.

According to a Cricket Australia's statment, the pacer likely to miss the remainder of Border-Gavaskar series. His replacement will be made in due course.

Before getting injured in the Brisbane Test, Hazlewood bowled 5 overs on the third day of the game, in which he took the important wicket of Virat Kohli. However, on the fourth day, he looked uncomfortable in his first over. In the ongoing series, Hazlewood has taken 6 wickets in 3 innings at an average of 13.17. He could not play the last Test in Adelaide due to injury.


Indian team
Meanwhile, Indian team reached 252/9 at stumps in reply to Australia's 445 runs in first innings. India avoided the follow-on and still trailing by 193 runs.
