Haryana: Woman Congress worker body found in suitcase in Rohtak; Party seeks SIT probe

Rohtak: The body of a 22-year-old woman Congress worker was found stuffed in a suitcase in Rohtak's Sampla, sending a shock wave across the town. 

The body of the woman, who was identidied as Himani Narwal (22), was found on the eve of municipal elections in the state. 

She was Associated with 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' 
Himani was also seen walking along Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Rahul Gandhi during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. The slain Congress worker had also shared a photograph with Rahul Gandhi on social media, wherein she donned a traditional state attire.

Congress Seeks SIT Probe
The Congress demanded a high-level probe into the death of Himani Narwal. 

Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra said that police should investigate this. SIT should be formed in this case.
He added that she was party's active worker. 

Also campaigned in Haryana Assembly polls
She had also campaigned for senior party leaders Deepender Hooda and Bhupendra Hooda in Rohtak in the last year's elections.

A dupatta (stall) was found wrapped around her neck and had mehendi on her hands. She was a resident of Rohtak's Vijay Nagar area. 

Investigation Begins
Haryana police have launched an investigation into the matter.
