Haryana: Two Independent MLAs join BJP after party gets 3rd term

New Delhi: Two Independent MLAs, Rajesh Joon and Devender Kadyan, on Wednesday joined the BJP a day after it received a historic third term in Haryana, winning 48 of 90 seats. 
Kadyan and Joon met Union Minister and party Haryana in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi today and offered their support. Haryana BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli was also present. 

Joon, who had contested from Bahadurgarh seat, defeated BJP's Dinesh Kaushik by a margin of 41,999 votes while Kadyan, a BJP rebel, was contested as an independent and defeated Congress's Kuldip Sharma by 35,209 votes from Ganaur assembly seat.

Badoli on Independent MLAs
Mohan Lal Badoli said the three Independent MLAs of Haryana, including Savitri Jindal, had expressed their desire to support the BJP.

Savitri Jindal, the mother of Kurukshetra BJP MP Naveen Jindal, had contested as an independent from Hisar and defeated Ram Niwas Rara of Congress.

BJP secures 3rd term

The BJP scripted a history in the Haryana elections on Tuesday, winning a historic third term.
