Haryana Polls: Ex-Lok Sabha MP Ashok Tanwar joins Congress again

Chandigarh: In a setback to the BJP ahead of the Haryana assembly polls, former Sirsa MP Ashok Tanwar on Thursday rejoined to the Congress party during an election rally in Mahendergarh.
Tanwar returned to Congress in the presence of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Ex-Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Served as Haryana Cong chief
The Ex-Haryana MP, who served as Haryana Congress chief beetween 2014 and 2019, had resigned from the party in 2019. Later he joined the Trinamool Congress in November 2021 before joining Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in April 2022. Subsequently, he joined BJP.
Fought on BJP ticket
He unsuccessfully fought on BJP ticket against Congress's Kumari Selja in general elections held earlier this year.

Haryana will go to polls on Sunday while results will be announced on Tuesday.
